This alert may be sent when you’ve checked into a venue on the same day as people who have since tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19). Read more about how it's decided whether you get an alert.

When you select the alert, you will get another message, saying:

You recently visited a venue on the same day as others who have tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).

There is only a small risk that you have been infected with coronavirus during your visit. You should continue to follow the latest advice on social distancing.

If you have symptoms of coronavirus you must self-isolate immediately. This means you should stay at home with no visitors. Use the symptom checker on the app and book a free test if advised to do so. Call 119 if you have questions.

Only get a test if you have coronavirus symptoms.”

The alert is not telling you to self-isolate. It is asking you to be aware and to get a test if you develop symptoms. If you need to self-isolate, you'll be able to see this in the app self-isolation countdown timer.
