If it’s identified that people with coronavirus have been to a venue, it may be decided that anyone who was at that venue on the same date will get an alert. These notifications will not mention your venue by name. It will only inform app users that they've recently been to a venue where they may have come into contact with coronavirus.

If it’s decided to send people an alert, you’ll either be contacted by your local authority or local health protection team, or you will receive an email from NHS Test and Trace. The email will explain:

  • why the decision was made

  • what message people will receive

  • what you need to do next
