Your phone will tell you when your local information in England or your postcode district risk level in Wales has changed. The notification will say:
“Local information has been updated”
The notification will look like this:
You may receive this message when national information changes, or if you live in an area where new restrictions, testing opportunities, or extra precautions are in place. You can read more by selecting the notification, or visiting the NHS COVID-19 app homescreen.
The information is based on the first part of your postcode and your local authority, which you entered when you set up the app. Read about how to change your postcode district or local authority in the app.
