If it’s identified that people with coronavirus (COVID-19) have been to a venue, it may be decided that anyone who was at that venue on the same day will get an alert. The alert will say:

“You recently visited a venue on the same day as others who have since tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).”

This alert will advise you to book a test, it will not tell you to self-isolate. If you do not book a test when you get the notification, a Book a free test button will be available on the homescreen of your app for 10 full days after the time you visited the venue.

Around 1 in 3 people who have COVID-19 do not have any symptoms but they can still pass it on and put others at risk. Even if you have been fully vaccinated, you could still get COVID-19, get ill, and spread COVID-19 to others.
