The app is located next to other apps you've installed on your phone and is titled “NHS COVID-19”. If you're unable to find the app on your device, the following instructions can be used to open the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store:

  1. http://covid19.nhs.uk/

  2. Follow the link to the Apple App Store (for Apple users) or Google Play (for Android users).

  3. If you've already downloaded the app, an ‘Open’ button will appear.

  4. This will open the app on your device.

  5. If you have not already downloaded the app, an Install button will appear.
